This thriving school in Wandsworth is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join their friendly staff team!
The school aims to set high standards for all pupils in order to get them ready for Secondary School. Learning is at the centre of everything they do and children are encouraged to become active members of society who have high expectations for themselves. The staff team are motivated to instil qualities of respect and resilience into each pupil, and teach them to work to their best ability. An interesting and stimulating curriculum is taught, which engages children and prepares them for a life of learning.
As a Cover Supervisor, your role will be to assist the class teacher throughout each day. You may be asked to take over the class for some lessons so you must be confident with teaching alongside the national curriculum. Under the direction of the class teacher, you may be required to prepare and deliver learning activities to groups of pupils or the whole class. Furthermore, you may be required to cover planned absences.
The role is extremely rewarding and will provide you with a high level of responsibility. You will be more in demand in the school setting and will increase your confidence in leading classes.
The successful candidate:
·Will have extensive experience working as a TA in a school setting
·Will have an excellent understanding of the national curriculum
·Will be confident with covering the class teacher when required
·Will has an Enhanced DBS
