Class Teacher for Complex Needs
I am working very closely with a school in NW London who provide a Primary curriculum for children with a wide range of complex needs. They are seeking a qualified teacher. The role is to start after the February half term holiday full time and has the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.
The school is ambitious and forward thinking. The quality of facilities focus on developing a learning space that reflects the needs of all children and are successful at removing barriers to access and learning. The learners are aged between 2-16 and are supported by a network of professionals of class based support staff to enable a strong team working ethos. A stimulating yet safe learning environment where pupils are supported to engage in and enjoy their learning through a variety of curriculum activities aimed to facilitate the growth of independence.
No previous experience of teaching in a complex needs school is required except that you have an openness to the range of learning abilities of all learners and above all, have a passion for working with children; someone who is able to see the possibilities for exceptional learners and help develop a provision that enables all to thrive! Primary or Secondary qualified. In return you can expect, an option of SEN points added to your salary, great CPD opportunities, smaller than usual class sizes with a high ratio of support staff making your day run as smooth as possible and a very dedicated team of staff.
The successful applicant will:
• Hold QTS (or overseas equivalent)
• Be Primary or Secondary trained
• Possess strong communication skills
• Work well within a supportive team
• Have a DBS (we can support with your application)
If you feel this the right opportunity for you and you meet the above criteria, please send your or call 0207 444 0009 for an immediate interview and a possibility of a paid trial day or meeting with the school.
