JOB DESCRIPTION

A Primary SEMH Academy in Bexley are seeking an experienced and confident colleague to take up the post of a Progress Leader. This is a Long Term to permanent position started after May half term.

You will be working as part of the team in supporting learners around the school and within the classroom. You will be joining a skilled team of teaching and support staff in providing high-quality learning for the students at the academy. This is a brilliant opportunity new graduates who have a proven background in managing challenging behaviour alongside evidence of being able to engage with complex and vulnerable young people. You must have confidence in managing complex behaviours and willingness to pro-a resole situations.

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The school, therefore, has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holder has a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
