Horizon Teachers are currently working with a Primary School in Barnet that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in their Year 1 class, starting after in January and will continue until July 2025, on a full-time basis.

The student you will be working with has Special Educational Needs and needs close support to help them within class to stay engaged, complete work and help the class teacher manage their behaviour. This school has great transport links on the Northern Line and you will be joining a dedicated team within the school.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will need to be resilient and be able to quickly create a rapport with the students to best support them. This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £550 per week.

What the school are looking for in their Learning Support Assistants:
  • Experience supporting children within a Nursery or School setting.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable.
  • Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children.
  • Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation.
