Position Overview:
Horizon Teachers is currently seeking a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and support primary schools in Havering. As an HLTA, you'll play a crucial role in aiding teaching and learning, working closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive educational experience for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Lead small group interventions and provide targeted support to students requiring additional assistance.
  • Assist in assessing student progress and contribute to monitoring their academic development.
  • Create a supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies to promote positive conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure student well-being and success.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, with a solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to supporting teaching and learning, with a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a readiness to engage in further training opportunities.
